Cycling Coaching FAQ

The cycling coaching program is for cyclists of various disciplines, recreational to competitive, looking to improve cycling fitness and/or abilities.

The program is based on some basic principles:

- Communication between athlete and coach is vital to effective training and performance

- Everyone is deserving of individualized attention despite their ability level or overall magnitude of goals

- Cycling performance can be improved through areas of training off the bike

Following these basic principles, the cycling coaching program features unlimited communication between athlete and coach.  Communication between athlete and coach is important to ensure the important flow of feedback in both directions - athlete to coach for improved understanding of responses to training for the design of the most effective program and from coach to athlete for improved understanding of training and competition directives and principles.  Unlimited communication is included as a standard because everyone is deserving of access to his or her coach no matter how advanced an athlete is or is training to be.

The program also features a written cycling program as well as a written program for off-the-bike training as needed.  Reaching goals as a cyclist does not always mean cycling only.  Sometimes other forms of training like strength and conditioning training and forms of cross training can also aid in maintaining or improving ability on the bike.  The cycling coaching program is designed to include as much all-around support as possible to be successful in reaching cycling goals.
