ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL RACING WEEKEND
Philadelphia Naval Yard Criterium - In the Women's 1/2/3 field, Kim Geist Coaching athlete Christine Fennessy was one of three riders to make what was to become the winning break, but was unable to hold pace to the finish. She was still able to finish a respectable 10th overall from the field sprint.
Tour of the Battenkill - Dubbed "America's Queen of the Classics" for its grueling dirt sections and climbs, the New York course and weather conditions themselves were difficult enough that many of the category races came down to only small groups contesting sprints at the end. Kim Geist Coaching strength and conditioning athlete Zach Semian was able to use his power to finish an excellent 3rd among the select 9-rider lead group in the men's 17-18 category.
Yale's Lux et Velocitas Circuit Race - 13-year old Victoria Gates was once again able to rider herself onto the podium among an older group of riders in New England. Victoria finished 3rd in the Connecticut circuit race, just 30 seconds off the winner in a race that saw riders finish in only pairs or solo.
