Kim Geist Coaching athlete Victoria Gates finished 2nd and 3rd this weekend as a young junior in the Open Women's category at Rohrbach's Ellison Park Cyclocross races in Rochester NY. Great rides, losing to only senior category 1 & 2 riders!

Kim Geist Coaching athlete Jody Frank had an OUTSTANDING race at the Green Mountain Stage Race in Vermont this past weekend. She went into the final stage with a 4th-place standing in the overall GC in the Cat. 3/4 Women's category, but unfortunately crashed out in this stage. In the process of the stage race, though, she held 4th overall in the Queen of the Mountain competition and 5th in the sprint standings. She also earned 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-place stage finishes among 47 competitors. What a race for a Cat. 4 racer in her very first year!

Congrats to Kim Geist Coaching rider Lee Sobotkin (on right) for a 10th place overall finish at the very hotly contested Tour de Millersburg in PA this past weekend. En route to the overall placing, Lee placed 3rd in the time trial stage.

A large number of great time trial results this weekend from Kim Geist Coaching athletes. At the Lake Nockamixon Time Trial in PA, Lee Sobotkin won the Cat. 4 men's category (and his time would have placed him 2nd among the Cat. 3 men) with a minute and a half improvement over last year. Julia Lonchar placed 2nd among Women Cat. 1/2. Jody Frank finished 2nd among Cat. 4 women and 5th overall among all women in her first ever time trial. Jen Gilbert finished over a minute faster than her time last year. Also, at the Shenandoah Time Trial in VA, Brian Wacik finished 2nd in his para-cycling category.

This past weekend Kim Geist Coaching led a women's Cat. 4 clinic for PA Women's Cycling at the Grandview Grand Prix in Lancaster, PA (congrats to Kim Geist Coaching athlete Jody Frank for the win in the race!).
