This past week Kim Geist Coaching athlete Julia Lonchar competed in the Elite National Track Cycling Championships in Los Angeles. She set a personal record in the individual pursuit and gained valuable experience in the scratch and points races. A great first national championship competition!

Kim Geist Coaching athlete Victoria Gates continued her winning ways the past two weekends on the cross bike at Nittany Lion Cross in Pennsylvania and at Charm City Cross in Maryland. Kim Geist Coaching athlete Jody Frank has won the 2012 Pennsylvania Road BAR (Best All-Around Rider) for Category 4 women. This was a season-long competition. Excellent!

Kim Geist Coaching athlete Victoria Gates finished 2nd and 3rd this weekend as a young junior in the Open Women's category at Rohrbach's Ellison Park Cyclocross races in Rochester NY. Great rides, losing to only senior category 1 & 2 riders!

Kim Geist Coaching athlete Jody Frank had an OUTSTANDING race at the Green Mountain Stage Race in Vermont this past weekend. She went into the final stage with a 4th-place standing in the overall GC in the Cat. 3/4 Women's category, but unfortunately crashed out in this stage. In the process of the stage race, though, she held 4th overall in the Queen of the Mountain competition and 5th in the sprint standings. She also earned 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-place stage finishes among 47 competitors. What a race for a Cat. 4 racer in her very first year!
