Some snippets of race report for sponsors from Dan Sladovnik are below. Dan has already picked up a top-10 finish on the GNCC racing circuit so far this season through races in FL, GA, and NC:
"The 2014 race season has begun and is in full... swing. The winter in Pennsylvania was a tough one for riding. Even though I wasn't able to ride my dirt bike much, my trainer Kim Geist kept me busy all winter long. She made sure my fitness was where it needed to be by race time with gym and cycling workouts. During the off season, I switched from a Husqvarna TC250 to a Honda CRF450R. I will be racing the Open B class for the entire GNCC series."
"I would like to thank everyone that makes my racing possible: Decal Works, All Balls Racing, Spectro Oils, Factory Connection, FMF, Toy Tech Cycles, Matto Cycle, Sleeping Dog Pro Cycles, Kim Geist Coaching, and Welder Training & Testing Institute."

CONTINUING EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Two of the most important things for a successful coach to do is to keep current knowledge through continuing education and certification renewals. This coach has had a productive last two days - officially completed becoming a TrainingPeaks certified coach, wrapped up a continuing education course with Stanford, went through the workshop to renew Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and finished SafeSport training by the USOC for USA Cycling (!).

What great results for Kim Geist Coaching athletes racing at the Philly Phlyer in Philadelphia, PA this past weekend. Among the accomplishments...almost two minutes taken off a time trial time from last year, two new power thresholds set, a first time experience mixing it up in a 1/2/3 race, and 3 x top-10 finishes. Races taken part in were USAC Open (men & women), 1/2/3 (women), and collegiate A/B (women).
